The last year was very successful time for the University of Gdańsk. Our scholars achieved many prizes. Prof. Cezary Obracht-Prondzyński won the Hevelius Prize for his humanities research. Dr Agnieszka Gajewicz, in turn, received a very prestigious international award International Rising Talents and Piotr Zieliński awarded the Prize of Jan Uphagen – said the rector of the University of Gdańsk, Professor Jerzy Gwizdała in conversation with the university radio station “Mors”.
The Rector highlighted the cooperation with other universities, and a merger with the Medical University of Gdańsk in the fields of science, research, didactics, and the implementation of research results into the economy. “The best demonstration of the fact that such cooperation is very effective is the highest possible assessment that the Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology and its International Research Agenda received in the field of research on anticancer vaccines,” he added.
