Startups, 5G technology, using innovation in the defense sector – such development directions for Poland were indicated by the Minister of Investment and Development Jerzy Kwieciński during the Symposium “Digital Independence. Polish technological thought, from idea to success. ” It took place at the Higher School of Social and Media Culture in Toruń.
The biggest problem for startups is currently breaking into the market, rather than simply raising capital for development – said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during the symposium.
In turn, the Minister of Investment and Development, Jerzy Kwieciński, pointed out that half of the startups “flee from Europe” and is bought by other countries, including the United States or Israel. The latter country takes over more startups from the European market than several times bigger France.
This shows that a small country, with strong support from the state, is able to build a strong innovation policy. We want to build such a policy – emphasized Minister Kwieciński.
