This year’ s winners of the Tadeusz Tertil Award for the authors of the best diploma theses on subjects related to Tarnów or Tarnów poviat, have been announced.

In the bachelor’s and engineering thesis category, the award was given to Szymon Grodowicz of the Krakow University of Technology, author of an engineering thesis “Conceptual design of a bus station for 8 stands with preliminary static calculations”. 

For the best master’s thesis in the area of social sciences, the Competition Jury recognised the diploma of Ewa Słota (Małopolska Higher School of Economics) titled ‘Adaptation of a three-year-old child to the preschool environment on the example of the Public Kindergarten in Pogórska Wola’.

The winner of the Tadeusz Tertil Award in the category of master’s theses – area of technical sciences was Bartłomiej Rój (AGH University of Science and Technology). His thesis ‘Assessment of the possibility of using satellite temperature data and vegetation indices to study the city’s microclimate’ was recognised by the jury.
