Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education Sebastian Skuza met Pila Niningi, head of the department responsible for higher education and science in Papua New Guinea. The topics of the talks were academic cooperation and the possibility of student exchange between Poland and Papua New Guinea.

Ministers discussed the possibility of participating students from Papua New Guinea in the Ignacy Łukasiewicz scholarships. The National Academic Exchange Agency, which was established to facilitate scientific mobility, can help in this area.

Minister Pila Niningi pointed out that Papua New Guinea is very interested in intensifying scientific and research cooperation as well as academic exchange with Poland. The minister also confirmed the willingness to invite Polish medical students to hospital practices in the field of tropical diseases.
