The Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Lodz held a meeting with Brian Schilling, one of the directors of ICANN, an organization dealing with control and management of the Network, which presented the participants of cybercrime and defense against cybercrimes.
ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) is a global non-profit organization that manages the global Internet. Every day, it makes decisions about choosing the right to resolve disputes between Internet users.
During the meeting Brian Schilling talked about his daily work and presented the most interesting, current legal challenges related to the functioning of the global network – from the issue of intellectual property protection to the prosecution of organized criminal groups.
