The Polish Society for Media Education, Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Gdańsk and the European Center for Solidarity and Science Experiment invite participants to the Third Media Education Congress, which will take place in Gdansk and Gdynia on October 25 and 26.

The Congress is held under the slogan “Media education in the world of digital consumerism. New technologies and a solidary and pluralistic society”. One of the important tasks currently faced by media education is to draw attention to the paradox of new technologies. They are providing for democratization and pluralization, but they can also be a tool for surveillance and manipulation.

The main partner of the Congress is the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Poland. The honorary patronage over the event was taken by the Lech Wałęsa Office and the Polish Committee for UNESCO.
