The authors of the best diploma theses on topics related to Tarnów or the Tarnów poviat were granted the Tadeusz Tertil Awards.
The Tadeusz Tertil Awards were established in 2007. Their patron was the mayor of Tarnów in 1907-1923, with a break during the occupation of the city by the Russian army (1914-1915). He was also a deputy to the State Council in Vienna and the National Sejm of Galicia in Lwow, and a member of the Polish Liquidation Committee.
The jury recognized the work “VSM-Value Stream Mapping as a flow analysis and optimization tool in a production company on the example of XYZ” by Krzysztof Kostecki, a graduate of the Małopolska School of Economics in Tarnów.
In the bachelor’s and engineering theses category , the award was received by Arkadiusz Kopacz (State Higher Vocational School in Tarnów), who visualized the New Synagogue in Tarnów.
