The National Academic Exchange Service (NAWA) has announced that Italy, Brazil, the USA, China and Greece are just a select few of the countries whose citizens will begin research at Polish universities under the Ulam NAWA scholarship program.
This is the fourth time this year that NAWA has conducted a call for applications for one of its flagship Ulam NAWA programs. Foreign scientists interested in conducting research at Polish institutions were invited to submit applications in February. The NAWA system received 173 applications.
As part of this year’s program, scholarships will be awarded to 42 scientists. They will begin their scientific stays at Polish universities and research institutes, starting in January 2023.
Researchers from 18 countries were among those selected for funding. India, Ukraine, Pakistan and Italy are the most represented. Among the grantees are also citizens of the US, Vietnam, Greece, Brazil and Nigeria.
