A team of students from the AGH University of Science and Technology (AGH) in Krakow, operating in the Integra AGH Student Scientific Club, took third place in the F1TENTH competition held on Jeju Island in South Korea.
The event was part of The Annual Autumn Conference of the Korean Society of Manufacturing Technology Engineers (KSMTE) 2022.
At the start, autonomous 1:10 scale RC (Radio Controlled) vehicles, equipped with LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) and an optional depth camera, competed.
Ten teams, mainly from Asia, qualified for the competition. The team from AGH was the only European representative.
Participation in the competition was possible thanks to funding from the Best of the Best 4.0 programme. The AGH team is already planning to compete in the next F1TENTH competition in London.
