This year’s Poznań Festival of Science and Arts will last 6 days and include more than 450, mainly on-site, events. The festival will begin on 15 May with a ceremony at the premises of the Poznan Branch of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
“The essence of exploring and discovering science and art is direct, personal experience. We want the events proposed by the Festival to be an impulse to take our heads out of our hefty textbooks for a moment and look for science outside, in its natural environment” say the organizers from the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań.
The hosts promise that the festival’s workshops, presentations, experiments, excursions, games, discussions and many other forms of knowledge exchange will provide an interesting complement to the themed classes and will offer an opportunity to experience, even tangibly, live science. The event will culminate with a final concert in the Auditorium of the Academy of Music in Poznań.
