The National Centre for Science (NCN) has announced the MAESTRO 15 competitions for experienced researchers, SONATA BIS 13 for those planning to set up a new research team and PRELUDIUM BIS 5 to support doctoral training at doctoral schools. NCN is awaiting applications until 15 September 2023.
In the announced competitions, scientists intending to conduct basic research in scientific units in Poland can apply for funds amounting to PLN 145 million.
MAESTRO projects are pioneering scientific research, including interdisciplinary research, important for the development of science, going beyond the current state of knowledge and which may result in scientific discoveries.
The SONATA BIS 13 competition is aimed at outstanding scientists in the period from 5 to 12 years after obtaining a doctoral degree. It gives them a chance to create a new team.
The PRELUDIUM BIS 5 competition is open to entities running doctoral schools. Its aim is to support the training of doctoral students and the financing of research projects carried out by them as part of their doctoral theses.
