Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2021 published

The latest Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2021 have been published. The list includes 1,527 universities from 93 countries with 19 Polish universities. The highest place, in the 501-600 range, was taken by the Jagiellonian University in Kraków.

The first place, invariably for 5 years, is taken by the University of Oxford. The other two best places are taken by the Stanford University and Harvard University.

The Jagiellonian University became the best among Polish universities, ranking in the 501-600 range and showing growth. In the previous ranking it was rated in the range of 601-800. The University of Warsaw and the Medical University of Warsaw took places in the 801-1000 range. The remaining 16 Polish universities were classified in 1001+ places.

Times Higher Education World University Ranking is one of the most recognizable and respected rankings in the world. It is created in cooperation with the Thomson Reuters agency. The classification is based on 13 indicators that focus on 4 areas: education, research, knowledge transfer and internationalization.
