Dr Karol Kłodziński, a scholar of the University Library in Toruń, became the laureate of the Association of Historians of Antiquities for the book “Officium a rationibus. A study on the history of the Roman administration during the principate period”.

The book was published by the Scientific Publisher of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń as part of the prestigious series “Monographs FNP”. It was devoted to the “a rationibus” (“accountancy / bills”) office – the main central institution managing the finances of the early Roman Empire, and the officials who held the post.

The aim of the award is to honor the achievements of Polish researchers in the field of broadening and popularizing knowledge about antiquity. In the annual competition procedure, authors of scientific or popular science books with a high research level may take part in the contest.
