The Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń is ranked the sixth in Poland in the Times Higher Education universities ranking “New Europe”. Higher schools from 13 new EU member states were assessed in the ranking.
In the prestigious ranking there were 12 universities from Poland. The University of Torun is ranked 6th among all universities in Poland (ex aequo with the Gdańsk University of Technology and the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań). In the global ranking, Toruń university was classified on places 31-40.
The organizer of the ranking takes into account three elements of the university’s mission: education, science and transfer of knowledge. It assessed the universities using the following criteria: teaching, internationalization, scientific research, quotation and cooperation with business. Times Higher Education World University Ranking is one of the three most-rated and most-widely commented rankings of higher education.
