The Research Data Center of the Federal Employment Agency in Nuremberg was opened at the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. It is the eleventh unit of this type in the world and the first in Central and Eastern Europe.
The establishment of the Center is the realization of the agreement concluded between the Faculty of Economics and Management and the Federal Employment Agency in Nuremberg. It is also the result of long-term cooperation between the Department of Labor Management and the Institute for Labor Market and Occupations Research of the Federal Employment Agency (IAB).
Under the agreement, the Institute will provide the new Center with the microeconomic data of the Federal Employment Agency for non-commercial research, which will enable scientists from Poland to conduct international comparative analyzes.
By creating the Center, the University of Toruń joined 10 renowned centers in the world with access to the IAB database (7 centers from the USA and centres from Canada, France and Great Britain).
