The 4EU + Alliance including the University of Warsaw (UW) received a grant under the Horizon 2020 competition “Science with participation and for society”. The funding will allow to expand support for research and innovation in European universities.

The competition was addressed to alliances of universities, which in June 2019 were laureates of the pilot competition of the European Commission “European Universities” organized under the Erasmus + program. The group of consortia that have obtained the status of “European University” includes the 4EU + alliance of University of Warsaw and five other research universities in Europe: Charles University in Prague, University of Heidelberg, University of Copenhagen, Sorbonne University, University of Milan.

The Horizon 2020 grant for the implementation of the TRAIN4EU + project (“Transforming ReseArch & INnovation agendas and support in 4EU”) is an additional support that will allow for joint development and implementation of long-term research and innovation strategies at universities of the 4EU + alliance. The received funding will allow to strengthen institutional support instruments for research and innovation.
