Four Pomeranian hospitals, including the University Clinical Centre (UCK) of the Medical University of Gdańsk, have received a grant of almost PLN 48 million for the purchase of equipment, furnishings and construction works. Funds of 10.5 million will be used by UCK to equip the Pomeranian lung transplant programme with monitoring, diagnostic and therapeutic equipment.
Support will be provided for the existing Lung Transplant Unit of the Department of Cardiac and Vascular Surgery and the Intensive Care Unit within the Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care created for the programme, as well as diagnostic, diagnostic-therapeutic laboratories and an operating theatre.
The funding comes from the EU’s Priority Axis XI REACT – EU for Health in the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment. REACT – EU is intended to help repair the social and economic damage caused by the COVID19 pandemic and prepare for a green and digital recovery.
