The University of Opole will implement the project “University Clinical Hospital in Opole friendly to patients with special needs”. Thanks to the funds from the Ministry of Health, the hospital will modernize a driveway and an elevator to the Hospital Emergency Department and adapt the central registration rooms and some toilets to the needs of people with disabilities.
-We have signed a grant agreement of almost PLN 2 million for the implementation of the project. It will enable such people to move around and use the hospital infrastructure – says Dariusz Madera, hospital general director.
The subsidy will also allow for the purchase of medical, rehabilitation, orthopedic and sanitary equipment. The project will be complemented by staff training in the field of service and communication with people with disabilities.
