Researchers from the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań submitted 14 applications in the National Science Center competition under the slogan. “Fast path to research funding for COVID-19”. The budget of the competition is PLN 10 million. The Center will announce the winners in a month.

The competition is addressed to researchers who can expand knowledge about the mechanism of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus activity, how to diagnose the disease, treat, prevent, and about the psychological and social effects of a pandemic. The winners will be able to conduct research for 18 months. Their results will be disseminated immediately.

The submitted applications should concern research at the faculties of chemistry, biology, socio-economic geography and spatial management, physics, political science and journalism, law and administration, psychology and cognitive science, sociology and the Center of Advanced Technologies.
