Scholars of the Rybnik branch of the University of Economics in Katowice are starting work on the international project “Economics of Sustainability” (EOS) financed by the European Union Erasmus + program as part of the Strategic Partnership Action.

The partners of the project are universities from Italy, Slovenia, the Republic of Northern Macedonia, Lithuania and Croatia.

The project aims to identify key elements that require special care to ensure socio-economic development on a responsible basis,
Researchers will conduct research and analysis to identify the most relevant areas critical from the perspective of the partners’ countries. The results will serve as the foundation for a joint syllabus of the new subject Economics of Sustainability, which will be introduced to the curricula at partner universities. It will include issues related to cultural differences and specific problems of each partner’s countries and regions.
