The European Commission awarded the University of Economics in Katowice the distinction “HR Excellence in Research”. The award shows that the university provides the best working conditions for researchers and conducts recruitment processes in a transparent manner, in accordance with the guidelines of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the recruitment of researchers.

The benefits of having a distinction include confirmation of compliance with transparent rules when recruiting employees, rewarding the university in grant competitions and confirmation of its readiness to apply and implement scientific projects on the national and international arena.

“HR Excellence in Research” is one of the activities under the “Human Resources Strategy for Researchers” strategy aimed at increasing the attractiveness of the working conditions and careers of researchers in Europe. This sign distinguishes institutions operating in the field of research and development and research funding organizations.
