The University of Economics in Katowice obtained funds from the Metropolis GZM to finance cooperation with a world-renowned expert Prof. Catalin Albu, who will deliver a series of lectures on international accounting in October. 

Professor Albu is employed at the University of Economics in Bucharest. He is a laureate of a Fulbright scholarship and the international organization Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, International Association for Accounting Education and Research. He was selected by the only European Accounting Association to be a member of the committee dealing with accounting research in Europe.

The Metropolitan Fund for the Support of Science is an initiative aiming to support public and private universities located in the Metropolis area to increase the attractiveness of the scientific offer. Until 2022, the Metropolis allocates PLN 8 million for this purpose.
