The Department of the History of Economic Thought of the Department of Economics of the University of Economics in Katowice is organizing a national scientific conference from 19 to 21 September in Ustroń XII: “The problem of wealth and poverty in socio-economic theories”.

The discussion will concern the issue of wealth and poverty in economic thought and social sciences, the problem of social inequalities, the role of the state in preventing and reducing poverty, and measuring wealth and poverty.

The proposed research areas do not exhaust a wide spectrum of issues related to wealth and inequality. The organizers are inviting historians of economic thought, representatives of other scientific disciplines interested in this subject, and economic practitioners to the conference.
