The team of the University of Economics in Katowice, “Hostile Takeover”, won the Polish part of the Global Management Challenge competition. Now, the university representation has started preparations for the world finals. The team from the University of Katowice will represent Poland in the competition for the title of World Champions in Business Management.
The competition is the world’s largest business simulation and an extensive strategic rivalry game. The participants of the simulation include managers, specialists, young talents, also students of economic studies. They play the role of the management board of a virtual company – their task is to manage the company to achieve the best financial result on the virtual market.
The team consists of former and current members of the Scientific Club of Financial Modeling “QUANTUM”, students and graduates of the Financial Analyst specialization in Finance and Accounting and Computer Science: Marcin Mrowiec, Damian Strzępa, Anna Świtalik and Aleksander Piecuch.
