The University of Gdańsk was included in the group of 17 consortia of universities selected in the competition of the European Commission “European Universities”. The total budget of the program is 85 million euros, and each consortium will receive up to 5 million euros for 3 years.
The partners of the University of Gdańsk in its consortium are the University of Cádiz (Spain), the University of Split (Croatia), the University of West Brittany (France), the University of Christian-Albrecht in Kiel (Germany) and the University of Malta (Malta). As part of the grant, it will be possible to provide joint courses of study, exchange of staff and students, and joint research projects.
“European Universities” is a program of the European Commission, which encourages the developing of alliances of European universities. European Universities will be supranational alliances of higher education institutions from across the European Union with a common long-term strategy, they will promote European values and identity.
