The University of Gdańsk has been officially admitted to the Alliance of Silk Road Business Schools (ASR), whose aim is to cooperate between science and business institutions in countries on the new Silk Road.
Alliance of Silk Road Business Schools was established in June 2016 and brings together over 150 universities. In addition to more than 50 Chinese higher education institutions, the association includes almost 100 universities from 20 countries located on the Silk Road – Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Czech Republic, Cambodia, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Latvia, Moldova, Romania and Serbia.
The admission of the Gdańsk university was announced at the The Belt and Road conference on International Business Education in China. During the conference, Dr Katarzyna Świerk – head of the Office of Science and International Cooperation at the University received the award for an article and a paper on the internationalization process of the university.
