The University of Gdańsk cooperates with 14 Chinese universities. It runs the Confucius Institute and the majors of Polish philology at two Chinese universities – informs dr Beata Czechowska-Derkacz, spokesman for the university.

The University of Gdańsk cooperates with the China Youth University of Political Studies, the University of Political and Legal Sciences in Shanghai, the Institute of Technology and the Foreign Language University in Beijing, and the University of Harbin and Jiangsu University.
They cooperate in particular with the faculties of law and administration, economics, management, social sciences, philology, history and chemistry. The cooperation includes exchanges of academic staff and students, conducting scientific projects, conferences, seminars, symposia and events promoting Chinese culture and language.

The University of Gdańsk, together with China Youth University of Political Studies, runs the Confucius Institute and Polish philology for Chinese students at Harbin and Canton Universities.
