The University of Gdańsk, together with universities and institutions from the countries of the Baltic Sea region, implement the project “Bioeconomy for ‘blue growth’ in the Baltic Sea Region.”
The project, implemented by the Finnish Institute for Environmental Protection, the Latvian Institute for Water Ecology, the University of Tartu, the Kaliningrad State Technical University, Klaipėda Science and Technology Park and the University of Gdańsk will use the results of INTERREG territorial cooperation projects already implemented or completed and other projects financed from other sources concerning promotion of the ‘blue’ bioeconomy.
This will allow decision- makers to take full advantage of the opportunities associated with solutions for developing the “blue” bioeconomy around the Baltic Sea, as well as the „blue” innovations. It will also contribute to creating a platform for the exchange of results between partners and other stakeholders of the “blue” bioeconomy and to integrate knowledge and expertise in the region.
