The University of Gdańsk is one of 14 Polish universities placed among the thousands of the world’s best academic universities in the latest international ranking of QS World University Ranking 2019.
– The University of Gdańsk appeared for the first time in the QS World University Ranking. This is a great achievement for us. And in addition, our University was the only one from Pomeranian universities in this most important ranking of world measuring academic quality of the universities – says Prof. Piotr Stepnowski, vice-rector for science and cooperation with foreign countries.
QS World University Ranking is one of the four most important global rankings – along with Times Higher Education, U-Multirank and the Shanghai Ranking. The ranking measures the academic prestige of the university. It takes into account the reputation in the academic environment, prestige among employers, the ratio of the number of lecturers to the number of students, the number of citations and the number of students and employees from abroad.
