The University of Gdańsk is one of the implementers of the project “Wellbeing Tourism in the South Baltic Region – Guidelines for good practices & Promotion”. The project aims to promote the South Baltic Region as an attractive tourist destination and raise public awareness of the concept of wellbeing and its possible use in the tourism sector.

The authors of the project will create a list of places, products and services ensuring achievement of the full balance. Entrepreneurs representing the tourist business will receive tips how to create an offer based on wellbeing criteria.

The project is co-financed by the Interreg South Baltic Program. Its leader is the Charles Linnaeus University of Sweden, and it is partnered by local government and non-governmental organizations, local tourist organizations and offices as well as universities from the Baltic regions of Poland, Sweden, Denmark, Lithuania and Germany.
