The University of Gdańsk and the Gdańsk University of Technology will create a joint interdisciplinary and unique field of study – Energy of dispersed sources. Both universities have signed an agreement on this matter.

Establishing this new field of study is a response to the needs of the development of a modern state. In the opinion of experts, the dispersed power industry provides much more security to the state’s energy security than the centralized one. At the same time, the role of conventional energy is decreasing, while the share and importance of renewable energy sources are growing.

The new field of study will be run by both universities, a joint program will also be prepared. Access to the best specialists as well as laboratories of the University of Gdańsk and the Gdańsk University of Technology will ensure a high level of education quality.
