The University of Gdansk ranked fourth in the category of Polish classical universities in the latest Times Higher Education World University Ranking. In the general list of Polish universities, the University took the sixth place.

In the category of classical universities, Gdańsk universities have overtaken the Jagielloński, Warsaw and Adam Mickiewicz Universities. In the general ranking of Polish universities, the University of Gdansk was also ahead of the Krakow AGH University of Science and Technology and the Warsaw University of Technology.

The Times Higher Education ranking is a global list of more than 1,250 entities with different profiles, which are subject to qualitative assessment in terms of implemented missions and activities of universities. The quality assessment indicators have been divided into five areas: teaching, research, citation, international university perceptions and participation in the economy – knowledge transfer.
