The University of Gdańsk will cooperate with the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University in Baku (ASOIU). The signed document provides for five years of partnership cooperation in the fields of research, science and education.

The agreement will create new opportunities for the exchange and mobility of students and academic staff, organization of research internships and summer schools. It is also an opportunity for joint research projects, trainings, conferences and seminars.

The Azerbaijani university was established in 1887, today 16 thousand students study there. It has provided a highly developed scientific and didactic cooperation with over 150 universities from all over the world.

The university in Gdańsk implements almost 200 cooperation agreements with scientific and research centers from Europe (including Italy, Spain and Sweden), Africa (including South Africa, Libya, Egypt), North and South America. (the USA, Argentina or Ecuador) and Asia ( China, Japan or India).
