The University of Gdańsk, together with the Statistical Office in Gdańsk and the Pomeranian Voivodeship Authority, will examine the qualifications of Pomeranian teachers. The project will be implemented by scientists and students from the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Gdańsk University.
The detailed goal of the project is to define the preparation of Pomeranian teachers for the challenges of modern education in the context of ensuring the development of Pomeranian school pupils. The project will include surveys among teachers, pupils and parents in randomly selected Pomeranian schools, as well as individual interviews with teachers, parents and students, and focus studies with teachers.
After the analysis of the results, an expert panel is planned to develop recommendations in the field of teachers’ support and their professional development. The experts will also attempt to identify areas in which actions are necessary to ensure high quality of education for all Pomeranian pupils.
