The University of Gdańsk will implement the project “Areas of social activity of Polish migrants in Germany. Comparative study of Berlin and Hamburg “. The money for its implementation comes from the Polish-German Foundation for Science.

The project aims to determine the nature of the presence and social activity of Polish immigrants in urban space and to compare social behavior and forms of participation in the public life of Poles living in Berlin and Hamburg. The result of the project will be scientific publications in Polish, German and English.

The project partners will take part in international conferences devoted to migration in the contemporary world, they are also planning submission of applications for the main call of the Polish-German Foundation for Science, expanding the spatial scope of the study – by including cross-border migration on the Polish-German border.
