The Laboratory of Touring and Historical Tourism of the Institute of History of the University of Gdańsk and the Historiographic Society are inviting participants on 17 and 18 October to the international tourist and sightseeing and historiographic scientific conference “Memorials – history-tourism”.

29 representatives of various scientific disciplines will participate in the conference, including history, art history, literary studies, archeology issues. Guests will represent the most important scientific Polish and abroad centers from Poznań, Lublin, Warsaw, Toruń, Vilnius, Lviv, Kiev and Kharkiv.

The leading theme of the meeting is to make issues related to memorial sites, their history and their impact on tourism. The organizers emphasized that basing on the achievements of science and appreciating the contribution of many scientists, thay want to expand the research area, link research from various disciplines and areas and give them a more complementary dimension.
