The University of Gdańsk has launched the Center for Sustainable Development. The new organization will enable better coordination of activities undertaken by university scientists – including by strengthening relations with the external environment and teaching in the field of STS, in particular in the field of climate change and energy transformation.

The tasks of the newly established Center will focus on the dissemination of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development among the scholars of the Gdańsk university and in the socio-economic environment, and it will provide initiating interdisciplinary future-oriented research in the area of ​​Science – Technology – Society.

The newly established Center will also deal with the intensification of cooperation with public institutions, local government units, non-governmental organizations as well as educational organizations and institutions in the field of broadly understood sustainable development.
