The University of Gdańsk is carrying out the project “ArchaeoBalt – a new ‘green’ Archaeoroute in the Southern Baltic Sea Region” Its main goals are to create strategies and tools for the development of archetourism in the South Baltic area and to develop permanent green and blue archeotourism routes in the region.
Activities are aimed at individual and organized tourists, families with children, seniors, students and school groups, as well as social, tourist and non-governmental organizations, cultural and educational institutions and other entities interested in the development of archetourism.
The partners of the project are universities and museums from Denmark, Poland and Sweden, universities in Gdańsk, Aarhus and Lund as well as Gdańsk and Bornholm museums. The project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund as part of the Interreg South Baltic Program 2014-2020.
