The University of Haifa has launched the Interdisciplinary Center for Polish Studies. It will allow the university to become a place for the implementation of research programs in language, history, culture and science about Poland. It will be the first facility of this type in Israel.
Thanks to the scholarships awarded as part of the activities of the emerging Center, students and scientists from Israel will have the opportunity to obtain fundings for not only historical research but also covering issues related to contemporary Polish culture and language, said Dr Grażyna Żebrowska, director of the National Agency for Academic Exchange.
The Interdisciplinary Center for Polish Studies will also organize events for the general public to promote history, heritage and contemporary Polish science. Students will be able to deepen their knowledge in the field of old and modern Polish history, culture, art, political thought, sightseeing, economy, and the Polish language at several levels of advancement.
