Dr Jarosław Krzywański, Prof. of University of Humanities and Natural Sciences in Częstochowa is implementing the project “Adsorption production of cold”. The aim of the research is to develop ecological technology in which heat is used as the driving energy of the refrigeration cycle.
Research related to the development of adsorptive cooling technology is carried out at the Department of Advanced Computational Methods at the Częstochowa University. The main advantage of adsorption is the use of heat as the driving energy of the refrigeration cycle. The share of electricity in these technologies is marginal and focused on controlling and supplying circulation pumps.
Low-temperature sources, solar energy, heat produced in cogeneration or industrial waste heat can be used to power adsorption chillers. The popularization of adsorption technology has a positive effect on increasing the share of renewable energy sources in the overall consumption of electricity.
