By the decision of the rector of the University of Life Sciences (UP) in Lublin, Prof. Zygmunt Litwińczuk, the Foundation for the Development of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin was established.

The mission of the Foundation for the Development of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin is to act for the benefit of the academic community of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin by supporting the activities of the University in various areas of its operation. The assets of the Foundation are the knowledge and potential of its staff consisting of academic lecturers, university employees, graduates and specialists who have been active in the academic community for many years.

The main statutory goals of the Foundation include promoting the University of Life Sciences in Lublin on the local, national and international levels, as well as financing the development of the University staff and own research, which will be implemented by: establishing and maintaining relations with scientific institutions and enterprises in economic, scientific and social fields; obtaining funds to improve the process of educating students as well as scientific and research activities.
