17.04.2020

Employees and doctoral students of the Poznań University of Life Sciences (UPP) support the Provincial Sanitary and Epidemiological Station in Poznań in the detection of SARS-CoV-2 virus. In addition to ad hoc activities, University research teams are also undertaking new research tasks related to coronavirus.

More than twenty volunteers representing various specialties – microbiologists, biotechnologists, biologists, geneticists, chemists, food technologists – as well as various disciplines and specialties: veterinary, pharmaceutical and forestry sciences will participate in laboratory and office works.

– It is a job that requires full concentration, burdening both physically and mentally, I appreciate and I am moved, how many people have expressed their willingness to provide such help – says the coordinator of UPP activities supporting the fight against the epidemic of Dr Joanna Zeyland.
