As part of the ERASMUS+ project ENDORSE (Strengthening the development of entrepreneurial strategies in academic cities affected by brain drain), which runs from 2022 to 2025, the University of Lodz (UŁ) is collaborating with the universities of IMC Krems in Austria, Mid Sweden University in Sweden, Hochschule Niederrhein in Germany, Kai Politikon Epistimon in Greece and Ventpils Augskola in Latvia to seek solutions to the problem of brain drain in academic centres.

In carrying out the programme, policy makers, entrepreneurs, representatives of institutions promoting entrepreneurship, academics and students met at a round table to discuss the opportunities facing students and graduates to implement entrepreneurial activities in academic centres. The first event took place in Östersund (Sweden) in November 2022. Subsequent roundtables were held in Krems (Austria), Lodz (Poland) and Ventspils (Latvia).

The discussions held allowed the project team to gain a deeper understanding of the opportunities and challenges that students and graduates face when starting their own business.
