The “Open Łódź” project, implemented since 2019 at the Faculty of Philology of the University of Lodz (UŁ) aimed at improving the socio-cultural integration of foreigners and increasing their safety in Lodz, has come to an end.
As part of the project “Open Łódź”, the Faculty of Philology of the University of Lodz trained 80 officers of the City Police Headquarters in Łódź in the field of intercultural communication, communication with people with poor knowledge of Polish and English at the basic and intermediate level. Thanks to the involvement of the City Police Headquarters in Łódź, we were also able to develop a number of training and didactic materials, conduct courses and trainings, as well as organize information and integration meetings for refugees from Ukraine – said Dr Monika Kopytowska, who led the project.
The “Open Lodz” project was co-financed by the European Union from the European Social Fund under the Knowledge Education Development Operational Program.
