The Faculty of Geographical Sciences at the University of Łódź (UŁ) and the Polish Geographical Society are inviting participants to the Congress on Geographical Education titled The Social Role of Geographical Education in Poland – Heritage, Responsibility, Future on the 100th Anniversary of the 1st All-Polish Congress of Teachers of Geography. The Congress will be held on 14-16 October 2022 at the Faculty of Geographical Sciences of the University of Łódź.

The target audience of the event is, just as 100 years ago, geography teachers of all types of schools and geographers – employees of universities and other research centres.

The general message of the Congress is to debate the responsible shaping of the social role of geographic education in Poland and the aim of the event is to exchange views on changes in geographic education over the past 100 years, to diagnose the current situation, to identify contemporary problems and challenges of Polish geographic education and to pose questions and tasks for the future.
