The Department of English Linguistics and the General Institute of English Studies of the University of Lodz is organizing the 6th International Conference on Philosophy of Language and Linguistics (PhiLang2019) on May 10-12, 2019.
The conference, organized every two years, is devoted to the philosophy of language and linguistics and is addressed to linguists, philosophers, logicians, cognitive scientists, researchers interested in argumentation and communication, as well as the philosophy of mind and literature.
This year’s leading topics will concern the philosophical foundations of semantics and pragmatics, names in language and fiction, negating and denying processes, the significance of the Lvov-Warsaw school for contemporary philosophy of language, as well as the question of progress and development of language philosophy.
