From 22 to 25 September 2022, the 8th Congress of Young Polish Mathematicians will be held at the University of Łódź (UŁ). This is the next nationwide meeting of mathematically talented young people, held every two years in the best Polish mathematical centres.

The aim of the Congress is not only to encourage young people to study mathematics, but also to take up scientific work in this field in the future.

During the Congress, participants will have the opportunity to meet outstanding mathematicians, hear lectures specially prepared for them, and some of them will deliver their own papers.

The organisers of this year’s meeting are the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Łódź and the Institute of Mathematics of the University of Łódź.

The congress was held under the honorary patronage of Agata Kornhauser-Duda, wife of the President of the Republic of Poland, and received support from the Ministry of Education and Science as part of the programme Social Responsibility of Science – Popularisation of Science and Promotion of Sport.
