The Medical University of Wrocław (UMW) has moved up a few dozen positions in the world ranking of The Center for World University Rankings (CWUR). This year’s ranking assessed almost 20,000 universities from around the world, of which the top two thousand made the top 4.4 % list.

UMW was ranked 899th in the overall ranking of medical universities worldwide and this is an increase of 27 positions compared to last year. The ranking included 40 Polish universities and UMW was ranked 10th in the list. 

The Center for World University Rankings prepares the list on the basis of four criteria, without relying on surveys or data submitted by universities. These are: quality of education (25 %), success and employment of graduates (25 %), quality of faculty (10 %), and research output, including research efficiency, number of articles published in top journals, impact and citations (40 %).
