European Universities are transnational alliances of higher education institutions from across the European Union. The idea of creating them is aimed at significantly increasing the mobility of students and employees and supporting the quality, integration and competitiveness of European higher education. Each consortium can count on a three-year grant of up to 5 million euros. The funds will help joint research groups, technology transfer centers and libraries.
