The University of Opole received almost PLN 14 million for the Multi-profile Medical Simulation Center. The money comes from EU funds under the Knowledge Education Development Program.

More than half of the amount will be spent on the purchase of the Center’s equipment, and the rest will be devoted to the training of teaching staff and students, employment of medical simulation technicians and preparation of scenarios of simulation techniques.

In the near future, the center will provide a workshop of technical, surgical and nursing skills, an intensive therapy room, a clinical and nursing skills room, a delivery room, an operating theater, a hospital emergency department and an ambulance simulator. It will be used primarily by students of the medical faculty as well as teachers and technical staff of the Opole university.
